Mullum Sari School teacher Simon M Marrocco is an International Senior teacher of the Iyengar tradition. Simon studies regularly in Pune, India with his teacher B. K. S. Iyengar who is widely regarded as the foremost living yoga teacher.
His approach develops self awareness through precision in movement and attention to the subtleties of body, breath, mind and spirit. Simon has been studying yoga for over 25 years. In 1989, he founded the St. Kilda Iyengar Yoga School SKYS in Melbourne, Australia.
At his school he offers classes for students of all levels in asana (posture) and pranayama (breathing), teacher training, teaching certification, weekend intensives, and programs covering various aspects of the science and art of Yoga.

Iyengar Yoga School General Course Information
Teacher certification is necessary to maintain and promote the quality of instruction as taught at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India.
Simon’s training is more person focused rather than content based training. He will challenge the student initially to see where they’re at with their practise and look at
their individual issues and needs.
Structural programs are then and developed by Simon to assist the students to most effectively progress in their yoga practise and understanding, whilst honouring their unique anatomy and physiology temperament and learning style.
The course will cover the technical processes of teaching and practise, as well as cover some background in the theory of Yoga.
Also covered in the course will be instructions in Yoga for women, basic remedial and theory of working with injuries, basic anatomy and some study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
The course content will cover thoroughly a detailed study of the asanas and pranayamas of the Syllabus and practise sequences of the Intro Level 1and 2 Iyengar Yoga Syllabuses. Observation and guidance to the potential teacher will be given in these main important areas.

Requirements and Ethics of a Yoga teacher:
- Organisation of a class
- Presenting an asana-sequencing
- Verbal instruction
- The importance of voice and the use of clear language
- Observing the breathing of the student
- Observation and correction of students-adjusting
- Performance in demonstration effectiveness
- Precision in teaching
Teacher Training Prerequisite
To be eligible for the Mullum Sari Yoga Gurukul Teacher Training Program applicants must have been practising Iyengar Yoga for 2/3 years with an Certified Iyengar Teacher
(accredited by the BKSIYAA to train teachers) and be a member of the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia.
On completion of Term 1, and with the consent of Maurizio (Simon) the trainee will be eligible for the Intro.1 Level Assessment, and on completion of Term 2, with the consent of Maurizio (Simon) the trainee will be eligible for the Intro. Level 2 Assessment.
Having successfully passed both, the trainee will receive the Introductory Level Iyengar Yoga Teachers Certificate. For Intro 1 assessment, students must complete a minimum of 100 hours teacher training plus 40 hours of assisting and adjusting with their teacher trainer in supervised class work.
The Introductory Assessments in Australia has been established in accordance with those of other Iyengar Yoga Associations worldwide under the guidance of B.K.S. Iyengar. The certificate is recognised worldwide.

Shelton Bailey (Training Manager) – joined the Vitality 4 Life team after being highly recommended by our LPG supplier. With over 10 years industry experience and initially trained in the USA, he has garnered experience from varying perspectives. A background in Remedial Massage played a major role in developing his personal and passionate approach towards training. This may also be reflective of his years as clinic and spa operator and staff trainer which exposed him to a wide range of modalities and devices.
“The comprehension of treatments and the operators’ intention(s) must be given some thought in order to personalize each treatment session with one’s clients. I try to conduct all training sessions in a non-intimidating manner”, he says. “I equally enjoy the challenge and the gratification I get from my work”.
LPG Training
Vitality 4 Life Training is provided on at least a recommended annual basis with follow up in a 90 day period in most cases. LPG Training and Certification is offered for each product or device with follow-up support readily available by phone contact or even revisiting each clinic where necessary.
Please note that training costs per clinic (up to 3 trainees maximum) and the training costs are as follows:
Regional NSW including ACT or VIC, SA, NT, WA, TAS and QLD:
1. Full Comprehensive Body & Face training is now $2,550 + GST per clinic; (this training is
for 2 and ½ days and covers both Lipomassage and Endermolift).
2. Partial Training for the Body only training is now $2,125 + GST per clinic; (this training is
for 2 days and covers Body Lipomassage treatments only).
3. ½ day Refresher training for the Body is now $1,147 + GST per clinic; (this training is for
5 hours and covers Body – Lipomassage only).
4. ½ day Refresher training for the Face is now $1,147 + GST per clinic; (this training is for 5
hours and covers Face – Endermolift only).
Please note:
LPG devices Keymodule (1) – Body Only. Keymodule (2) – Body and Face.
*Ergodrive devices: Endermolab and Integral (Body and face) require 2 days maximum for Comprehensive training and are priced as our other listed 2 day trainings based on your location.
