Libbe colon hydrotherapy is a safe, clean and relaxing method of removing toxins and waste from the colon or large intestine through the gentle infusion of water.
“The very best of diets can be no better than the very worst, if the sewage system of the colon is clogged with a collection of waste and corruption”
Dr N.W. Walker, D.Sc, Ph.D
Dr Norman Walker was an advocate of raw juice therapy, raw foods, distilled water and colonic hydrotherapy. He believed that a series of 6 colonics twice per year helps nature keep your body healthy and disease free.
The ‘Libbe’ or ‘open system’ offers you the option of being left in total privacy where you can control the procedure yourself. This means you can stop at any time during your session if you feel the need to.
Some people have a sense of fear around colon hydrotherapy but after your first session you’ll realise that it’s a simple, painless procedure that can actually be quite pleasant and often brings instant relief to many digestive disorders.
No chemicals or drugs are involved in the process and your privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
A Libbe Colon Hydrotherapy Session Explained
For the first session, we ask our clients to arrive a little ahead of time for their scheduled appointment. You will be given a health questionnaire to complete, and this will take around 15 minutes.
You will be led into the colon hydrotherapy room where you will be given a few minutes to prepare yourself in privacy.
After removing your lower body clothing, you will hop up onto the ergonomically curved colonic bed. There is a rectal tube which you will insert yourself; it will naturally settle to a depth of 2-3cm inside the anal canal.
The rectal tube is even thinner than a pencil and curved to aligned comfortably with your anal canal. You will be supplied with a natural lubricant and a clean cotton sarong to cover yourself before ringing the bell to start your session.
A gentle flow of warm, purified water will be gravity fed into the colon via the pencil-thin sterile disposable rectal tube. The continuous gentle flow of water softens and loosens the content of the colon stimulating peristalsis, and the waste is eliminated easily, comfortably and hygienically at your own pace.
Due to the magic of mother nature, the sphincter muscle naturally contracts around the rectal tube even during evacuation. The rectal tube stays in place effortlessly for the duration of the process.
The treatment lasts approximately 45 mins during which time around 25 litres of UV filtered water is introduced into the colon, hydrating the bowel whilst loosening fecal plaque and impacted waste matter. The warm water softens and loosens the contents of the colon, aiding in elimination of toxins, bacteria, parasites, worms, candida, gas, undigested food material and mucous.
There is no mess or odour and you are comfortably lying on your back and covered throughout the session, ensuring your dignity and privacy is maintained at all times. We use soft lighting, music and aromatherapy essential oils to help you relax and make your treatment more nurturing and enjoyable.
Our experienced therapists are on hand to support the correct water flow and temperature at all times and are able to give you a relaxing abdominal massage and a heated wheat pack to place on your tummy to assist with the elimination process. For your support throughout your process, as per your preference; some clients prefer solitude and your right to privacy is respected.
How does Libbe colon hydrotherapy work?
The colon is a repository of all the accumulated waste in the body. Research has shown that an unhealthy colon is the cause of some of today’s most serious health conditions, including cancer, heart disease and obesity. Few people know that a healthy colon conserves water in the body and synthesizes valuable nutrients such as the B and K vitamins.
“If you are seeking health, and you have not found the answers to your recovery and healing, start here. Your intestinal tract is the origin of disease, and it is also the origin of your healing. I cannot emphasize enough how important the cleansing of your digestive system is, to your health”
Dr Joseph Rodrigo M.D.
Few people realise that a ‘toxic’ person can be carrying around a few kilos of impacted waste material in their colon. Over the course of our lifetime, this becomes a breeding ground for pathogens such as parasites and fungi. As the healthy ecology of the bowel wall begins to deteriorate, such pathogens can make their way back into the blood supply. This in turn can lead to chronic and acute health dysfunction.
Lack of physical exercise combined with stress and a diet of processed foods, excessive meat, saturated fats, sugar, alcohol, preservatives, pesticides and the like can produce an overload of toxins – that is a greater amount of ‘unusable’ energy than what can be eliminated through the body’s natural elimination system.
It doesn’t take much imagination to envision how ‘toxic’ this would make one feel and how this could contribute to various conditions such as bad breath, headaches, muscle or joint pains, bloating, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome and lethargy to name a few.
Every cell and tissue in the body is reliant on the bloodstream providing fresh blood and oxygen to function optimally. When the bowel is dirty, the blood will also be dirty so invariably the bowel needs to be intricately involved in any deep cleansing process for healing to take place.
